1 Simple Addition For a Prettier Closet

It’s really a small cost to invest into some hangers that will make a huge difference in your closet’s aesthetic besides the fact they are functional as well! I find using velvet covered hangers are not only pretty space savers, they are functional too.

Now days, you can find velvet covered hangers just about anywhere. They are more than likely at your local retailers. I have found them at Wal-Mart, Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Tuesday Mornings, Target, The Container Store, and even at Lowes and Home Depot. And then you can google it and find a multitude of shops like OCM, Wayfair, and my personal fav, Amazon. You don’t have to look very hard.

They come in just about every color of the rainbow so it’s super easy to color coordinate with your closet décor. There are suit hangers, skirt/pant hangers, scarf/belt hangers, notched hangers, hangers with the little bar below the metal hanger for a tie, belt, or scarf, if you need to hang it, you CAN find a hanger for it.

Not only space-saving but a pretty cool aesthetic. They bring uniformity to your closet that’s just pretty to look at especially in a pretty color. I guess this was the hardest part for me because I love ALL colors!

I started out with a pretty pink then to a blush, then to cream and now gray. It would have been a greater cost savings if I could have just picked one color and went with it. But I am a woman and seriously, do we EVER make those kind of decisions? I know I rarely do…

Okay, now to the functional part. We’ve ALL experienced clothes slipping off a hanger into the bottom of our closet at some point in your life. Well, the flocked hangers have put a complete utter stop to that little issue. And what about that horrible hanger burn you’d get in the shoulder area of tops and sweaters especially. It used to drive me insane when I’d pull a top off a plastic hanger, put it on, and see those little pooches on top of my shoulder where it had stretched from hanging on those awful hangers.

Not anymore!!! If you take a little extra time to ensure the shoulder seem follows along the hanger edge, the flocking will hold it in place I guess forever or at least until you wear it again.

These are just a few pluses to investing in better hangers that will have you smiling when you open up your closet in the morning. But first, coffee…!
